In collaboration with Adda52, WPT (World Poker Tour) is ready to embark on further expansion in India. After last year’s unprecedented performance, WPT has picked Adda52 as its sole partner.
Adda52 will host the WPT Online India 2021, which runs between 1 August and 30 August. The series features a guaranteed Rs 25 crore reward, distributed over 800+ events, per player category, with 45 trophies.
The pinnacle of the series is the WPT Unreal Rs 499 buy-in which provides an enormous Rs 1 Crore guarantee and 30 entrance events between August 1 and August 29. On the 29th of August, surviving participants will fight for the lion’s share of the prize money. The famous WPT Main Event will take place starting 22 August and offers three Crores guaranteed in prizes.
In addition, 10 entry events in the Rs 16500 buy-in tournament are planned for eight days (22 August to 29 August). All the competitors picked from these eight days will compete for their most sought-after Indian Poker Title on August 29th.
The winner will also get a $5,000 WPT passport, Adda52 Wallet Credits worth 1.5 lakhs, and the Champion’s trophy. Apart from this, the winner will get a Classic Fusion Chronograph Titanium Watch from Hublot. The runner-up will also get a WPT trophy. In 2016, the only Indian partner of WPT was Adda52, owned by Delta Corp.
In November 2017, the first event, “WPT Deep Stacks Series” was launched in the most opulent cruise casino of Deltin Royale, India. After that, the WPT Online India took place in November 2020 on the official Adda52 website and became a trendsetter.
