Sportradar is ICC’s data and betting partner for next 8 marquee tournaments

Published on:

Sportradar has been roped in by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as data and betting partner in a bid to better monitor 275 top-tier matches, which includes 8 marquee tournaments starting with the Men’s T20 World Cup in India and culminating with the Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.

“The innovative use of sports data is one of the key pillars of our digital strategy. This partnership with Sportradar will help us grow our global cricket fanbase and deepen our engagement with it,” remarked Finn Bradshaw, the ICC’s Head of Digital.

Sportradar will deploy some of its most technologically advanced solutions like the Cricket Live Score Plus (CLS+) data-capture tool, Premium Cricket Service, which will be integrated with the organization’s digital platforms, including its website and mobile app, as well as sports betting operators.

Most importantly, Sportradar’s Integrity Services will help ICC use the Universal Fraud Detection System for monitoring betting across all 275 matches.

“Cricket is among the most popular sports globally, and we see huge potential to grow its fan base still further, helping fans interact with the game on an even deeper level,” said David Lampitt, MD of Sports Content and Partnerships at Sportradar.

“Our partnership with the ICC is an exciting step towards engaging those new fans and, with the full breadth of our unique technology powering it, we will deliver enhanced cricket content globally – across a range of platforms.”
